 Very small for keys. November 25, 2008
He is very convenient, but the inner space is very small and it does not allowed to place keys of cars with remote control.
 Almost perfect, definintely better than the GE/Supra October 19, 2008
Pro's: Ease of installation, roomy interior, styling, slide-up cover for the combination dial, number of possible combinations, ease of setting combination, less expensive than GE/Supra.br /br /Con's: (All minor) No hook or clip to hold keys, dial numbers are hard to see in dark, maybe too easy to reset combo.br /br /Unknown's: Durability in exposed area over time.br /br /I purchased two of these for a sports facility to replace GE/Supras which had quit working (and had to break in to them - not easy, but doable). br /br /They are far roomier, better looking and have many more effective combinations than the GE (the GE allows any sequence of numbers: 1-2-3-4 = 4-3-2-1 = 3-2-1-4, etc). I hope the dial mechanism plus the cover on the Master Lock will prevent that problem, and comparing the cases, I don't know how I'll break into these if I have to!br /br /The con's are minor - with no hook, the keys fall to the bottom. I have 5 keys on one (could fit more), and it is sometimes difficult to close the latch (I was hard-pressed to even put 5 keys on the GE). If the dials had the numbers painted in black, it would be easier to see them in poorer lighting (similar for the GE if you don't have the button positions memorized). The setting process is almost too easy - someone could try to be clever and could easily reset the box (same for the GE).br /br /I'll deal with the con's, and will have to wait to see the durability, but so far, I am very happy with the switch to the Master Lock product.

This is an excellent inexpensive security find. A much better idea than a hide a key under a rock or under the mat!

As a person who has been known a time or two for getting locked out of my home, this is a great way to keep a spare set of keys safe outside. We mounted this on the front screened in porch - out of sight from the road. We have 2 separate house keys and a set of car keys in this unit - no problems with storage space. Great product.
Excellent, well made, but not much room September 2, 2008
Overall, this storage box is well made, very heavy duty; I'm fairly confident it won't be broken into and if someone does manage, they will have been there a long time trying. Setting the combination is very easy to do and easy to change; there's a reset button inside that you push to one side, set the combo, then push back. On the outside, it has a little black cover that slides over the combo lock once your'e done that's not shown in the picture. Inside there are 4 holes to allow you to mount it on the wall; it comes with 4 screws and the holes are big enough to use bigger screws if you would like to; once it's mounted, it's not coming down unless you open it and unscrew it. Although I managed to fit 5 keys, it's not easy to close because there's nothing to hold them up; I fit 1 big car key and 4 small house keys. Also, you only get half the storage because the top part is taken up by the combo lock on top so you can only place the keys on the bottom half. This was my only disappointment because I was hoping to add my electronic key fob for the car. Overall though, great for a few keys without a ring attached or car alarm, just the keys.
